On October 23, Pinnacle was recognized for their 2019 donation to the Pasadena Independent School District Education Foundation. The donation, given on an annual basis, enables the Education Foundation to fund Pasadena ISD programs that provide Pasadena students with an opportunity to learn through innovative and cutting-edge opportunities. Additionally, the donation helps fund the mini-grant program, which is given to teachers to use to enhance their classroom curriculum. To date, the Education Foundation has awarded over 2.6 million dollars though the teacher mini-grants.
Pinnacle also supports Pasadena ISD through its work with Carter Lomax Middle School. Pinnacle primarily supports Carter Lomax Middle School through a mentorship program where current employees are paired with middle school students and serve as a mentor throughout the school year. Pinnacle employees have also previously supported the school by serving as judges in the school’s science fair and presenting at the school’s annual career day.
In addition to supporting local Pasadena ISD schools, Pinnacle’s donation to the Education Foundation helps support the McDonald’s Texas Invitational Basketball Tournament, an annual state-wide basketball tournament held in Pasadena. The tournament, which is held at multiple high school gymnasiums in Pasadena ISD, hosts over 70 high school boys and girls basketball teams from all over the state and is a special event for the Pasadena community.
Local community involvement is important to Pinnacle. Each Pinnacle employee receives eight hours of paid time off per year to give back to their local community, many of which are used to support Pasadena ISD and the future generations of students.
