Pinnacle’s second annual Care-A-Thon kicked off on Thursday, March 1, 2018, and lasted throughout the entire month of March. Hosted by Pinnacle’s Community Outreach team, Pinnacle’s Care-A-Thon event is a month-long competition among teams across the company to log the most volunteer hours.
During Care-A-Thon, employees were given many opportunities to volunteer with local community organizations and to participate in internal events held to gather donations. This year, 42 employees volunteered a total of 450 hours.
Teams were allowed to determine where they would like to distribute their volunteer time. Volunteer opportunities included:
- High School Robotics Mentorship
- Houston Open
- Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo
- Bayou City Art Festival
- Coastal Conservation Association
- Gold Rush Active 20-30 Club
- Pasadena Livestock Show and Rodeo
- Houston Food Bank
In addition to volunteering with these organizations, Pinnacle hosted some internal events geared toward donating both funds and items.
