Pinnacle employees collected 60 toys for the 2019 Holiday Toy Drive for Shriners Hospitals for Children – Houston (Shriners Hospital). The toy drive, which concluded on December 6, helps spread holiday cheer to the children and families staying at Shriners Hospital during the holidays. Shriners Hospital is a national network of children’s hospitals that specialize in treating children who have suffered an illness or accident that requires specialized care. Shriners Hospital provides medical care to all children, regardless of their families’ ability to pay.
In addition to collecting toys, Pinnacle employees supported the drive by wrapping large toy collection boxes in holiday wrapping paper which were later used to deliver the toys to the hospital. The toys were delivered by the Pasadena Fire Department and Pinnacle employees.
Shriners Hospital uses the toys collected during the toy drive in numerous ways throughout the year. Hospital volunteers distribute toys to the children staying in the hospital during the holidays. Additionally, Shriners Hospital gives each patient a toy on their birthday and gives each child undergoing surgery a stuffed animal after their surgery has been completed.
Thank you to all of the Pinnacle employees who donated to the toy drive! For more information on how you can support Shriners Hospital, visit donate.lovetotherescue.org.
